One dead, one hospitalized after crash in Cache Co.

LOGAN – One person is dead and another hospitalized after a crash in Cache County on Sunday morning.

Officials with the Logan City Police Dept. say a Mazda was traveling southbound on US-89/91 near 2350 South when it crossed the center lane and collided with a Chevrolet Cobalt, which was traveling northbound, at about 8 a.m.

The adult male driver of the Mazda sustained fatal injuries. The adult male driver of the Cobalt was transported to Logan Regional Hospital and subsequently Lifeflighted for further care. Neither vehicle carried passengers.

The identities of the victims have not been released pending notification of family.

Police are still investigating why the Mazda crossed the center lane.
