Cache Valley Fire responds to barn blaze

CACHE COUNTY — A hay barn in Paradise went up in flames Tuesday evening.

At approximately 6:19 p.m. the fire, located at 9800 S. 380 East, was reported by a passing motorist.

Upon arrival the fire deparment found a hay barn fully involved. The barn contained 200 tons of dairy quality hay, 150 tons of straw, bailer, toyhauler trailer with UTV and four-wheelers.

Additional tenders from Logan Smithfield and North Logan were dispatched to the scene because of the lack of fire hydrants in the county.

Damage is estimated at $195,000.

There were no reported injuries. The fire is currently under investigation.
